Terms
Terms of use
These terms cover this website, kettlejournal.com. By using the site you agree to them.
Who runs this site
Kettle and this website are made and published by Andrew Askins. You can reach me at support@kettlejournal.com.
Information, not medical advice
The guides and tools on this site are general information. They are not medical or psychological advice, they can’t diagnose anything, and they don’t replace a doctor or a therapist. I’m not a clinician. How I research these pages is written down so you can judge them for yourself.
If you’re in danger, or you think you might hurt yourself or someone else, call your local emergency number. The Get help page lists crisis lines and ways to find professional support.
Using the guides and worksheets
The worksheets are free. You can print, copy and share them for personal use, in a classroom, or with clients if you’re a counsellor or therapist. Please keep the kettlejournal.com credit on them.
You can’t sell them, put them behind a paywall, or present them as your own work. If you’d like to use something from this site in another way, email me and ask.
You’re welcome to quote the guides with a link back to the page.
The app
Kettle is a journal. It isn’t therapy or medical care, it doesn’t diagnose or treat anything, and it doesn’t replace a doctor or a therapist. Everything you write in it is stored on your iPhone, not on a server, and I never see it.
The Kettle app is covered by Apple’s standard licence agreement for apps, not by these terms. Apple handles any Kettle Plus purchase, including billing, renewals and refunds. Pricing explains what Plus is, and the privacy policy explains what happens to your data.
Links to other sites
Guides link to research and to organisations that can help. I choose those links carefully, but I don’t control those sites and I’m not responsible for what’s on them.
Accuracy and liability
I work to keep this site accurate and I correct errors when I find them. I can’t promise it’s free of mistakes. The site is provided as it is, and to the extent the law allows, I’m not liable for loss or harm that comes from relying on it.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new review date.
